From the Cover Text
“The world’s burden is heavy. So many mountains and people. Every watermelon from Amed weighs at least ten kilos. Two tomatoes from Lice make one kilo. How can this world turn quickly? Everything grows bigger every day. The world’s burden becomes ten thousand times heavier by evening. It’s good if the world doesn’t stop in its tracks. Which fool can say today will end and become tomorrow? The coming of Friday is uncertain – it’s already a day of goodness – let alone the certainty of Monday’s arrival. Teeewww! Perhaps, someone has stuck a sharp spike into the Earth from the darkness of space! What if the Earth stays in place? If a luminous hand changes the Earth’s position and moves it away from the sun, how will Friday end? How will it become tomorrow and how will Monday come? No… by God no… Monday will not come! I know it wooon’t!”
