I walked towards the wall of Diyarbakir on a spring day. It was already evening. And also today is the first day of fasting. People are exhausted because of the fasting, they want to finish their work as soon as possible and reach their home.

There are a lot of tables on the street. The food on the tables was alined on the trails. I walk a little more and then see a woman with her girl. They want to sell the herbs that they picked up before. I watch them for a while. She accounts their money and on the other hand sell her herbs.

We talked a bit.

Melek has been doing this job for 6 years. These plants that called girûz are picked up on the spring.

We should eat those herbs twice a year. We collect them from Batman, Hani a neighboord of Diyarbakir.

She repeated again that this herb has a medical effect.

There are some people, they have been married about 8-9 years but they have not a child. They go to hospital but the conclusion is the same. When they eat these herbs, they have a baby. This herb become only on the March and April.

The time of the iftar is coming. There was a crowded in front of herbs of Melek. She stopp to talk with me and again turn to sell her herbs.

I move away from Melek and search on the google what is these herbs.

Accordding to people of Tunceli, after a cat eat a snake then eat these herb to avoid the poison.

People called these herbs as ‘cures of Kurds’. They are used for infected wounds. They are beneficial for rheumatism and stomach aches. Also they are used epileptic patients during they are in seizure, after bolied it, they put in a rag then on their head.
